10 Things I Love About MAC - Makeup and Beauty Blog
1. Their classic neutral brown and biscuit shades
Before the Urban Decay Naked palette took the makeup world by storm, there were old-schoolhouse MAC brownish and biscuit neutrals like Brule, Mylar, Ricepaper, Shroom, Soba, Samoa Silk, Kid, Bamboo, Omega, Cork, Wedge, Brun, Soft Brown and Saddle, among other shades. I could write sonnets and dissertations on their awesome sauce.
MAC has a well-deserved rep for crazy colorful shades and brights, but that'south only role of what they practice. Some of my friends who are less enthusiastic nigh makeup than I am say things like, "They're the ones that do the crazy bright green elevate show eyeshadow, right?" and I'm like, um…yeah, they do some of that, but there are also so many great neutrals in the line.
Some of their permanent collection neutrals are timeless classics that women (and men) of all ages can wear.
Shoot, I hope I'm nonetheless rocking Soba when I'm lxxx. That's the plan. 🙂

2. The MAC Rick Baker Monsters Helpmate Palette
I never expected to like this LE palette equally much as I do, but it chop-chop became one of my well-nigh trusted companions this year. It always goes with me on trips, where it gets a coveted spot in my everyday essentials makeup bag.
There is one eyeshadow in it called Bitter, a crazy dark-green, that I never employ, but all of the other shades are ones I utilize and love, like Brun, Mylar, Omega, Guild and Carbon.
My default neutral look with this palette is something soft and defined that I do all the time with Mylar all over the lid from lash line to forehead bone, Omega in the crease, Brun in the outer corner and Carbon smudged forth my upper lash line…
And so, if I'yard feeling sassy, I'll add Order on my lid on top of Mylar.

iii. Woodwinked Centre Shadow
Woodwinked is ane of all-fourth dimension greatest ii-for-one shadows. Pat information technology on with a flat 239 Eye Shader Castor for a warm and shimmery golden brown, or vitrify it out with a 217 for a warm orangey brown with a satin finish. Either way: cute!
4. The 217 blending castor
I use the 217 every. Single. Day. Information technology's not just a castor for me; it'south an investment.
I take multiple 217s. That'southward how serious I am well-nigh it, and I use them for so many things, like for applying and blending eyeshadow and under-eye concealer, applying highlighter and spot awarding of face up powders. Those are just a few of the things I utilize the awesome 217 for.
v. Fix+
Another MAC ride-or-die product I never knowingly leave the house without (I always bring a tiny bottle with me when I travel). I utilise it for many dissimilar things, but mostly for blending out total-coverage foundations and nether-eye concealers to make them look more than natural.
vi. Their crazy release schedule!
Because they release a new collection every five seconds, I e'er have something to wait forrard to. 🙂 Plus, all the weird collaborations! (Remember Dame Edna?)
vii. Fabulous Felines
Cat lady says what, meow? An unabridged drove devoted to the fabulousness of kitties? Yes!
viii. EvRev!
One of the best, non-only MAC experiences of my life, just makeup experiences overall.
Funny story, but yesterday at the mall, as I was getting out of my car, I happened to glance through the window of the car parked side by side to me, and correct there in the space beside the commuter's seat was a tube of MAC Lipglass that looked exactly like EvRev.
I wanted to take a picture with my phone right then and there…but I didn't want to expect like a creeper taking pics of other people's cars, LOL!
9. Barbie Loves MAC
The very first post I ever wrote on MBB (OMG!), and my gateway MAC collection.
10. Soft Ochre Paint Pot
This one's been on my heed again lately because I recently re-roughshod in dearest with information technology once again afterwards a short hiatus. Soft Ochre is a cute foam base for neutral shadows, peculiarly for gals with warmer skin tones.
